Not sure what to say?

I was looking at some old Pilot pictures and saw one with Ed and his chili cook-off trophy. Also, found one of Bev with a handful of corks. Fun, happy memories.

Beverly, it is hard to believe that Ed has been gone for 2 years. I had forgotten that he passed away on June 8 which was Mike's birthday. Hard to believe that we are both widows (at such a young age). Ed was such a great guy. He was always so calm and seemed so happy. He accomplished much in his life and most importantly, he was loved and respected by all who knew him. Sending you a virtual hug.

Dear Strauser family,
We have so many fond memories of your close family. We will never forget the summer you took Bryan to New York with your family. He loved spending time over your house in Richmond Hill with Nick,Doug, and Tom. We lost Bryan in 2016 from a complication from surgery. It's very sad he and Doug had to leave this earth so early. Hope you have peace and joy in your lives. Scott and Shirley Funk

Ed was an amazing person. He was very kind, helpful and cheerful. He loved being out doors. I remember him helping Jonah learn to kayak and Jonah saying he would like to be home schooled with you and Ed. Ed was a great man and will be missed by all who knew him. You have lost your best friend but know that God will be with you. Turn to Him when you feel lost and angry. Your friends will also help you find a way through the fog, sharing hugs and tears and memories. Bev McKenna

Ed was a kind, witty, and wonderful teacher and friend. I'm so sorry, Beverly.

Ed was a smart, kind guy who was calm and capable in any situation.I went to high school with him and remember him fondly. My condolences on this significant loss.

Go Whizzer! Most of you may have no idea what that means, but Ed was a fan(atic) of Whizzer motorbikes when we were at Dunkirk (NY) High School together. If I remember correctly, he signed my senior class yearbook with a big W in a circle. We had some fun together exploring Crooked Brook as it flowed past his backyard, and as we hunted for his lost iguana. Bye, Ed.

may your memories of the wonderful times that you shared with your loved one bring comfort to you and your family at this difficult time my condolences isaiah 51;12

May the love and support from friends and family carry you through your pain and grief. May happy memories of joyful times together fill your sad hearts with some comfort.
