Our hearts go out to the family. Barny was a wonderful neighbor. All the times spent on the porch will be remembered. The Richards family.

Approaching my fifty seventh birthday tomorrow I reflect on the Friends that I’ve made in all these years. There are a few I credit with influencing my growth from a boy into manhood. Through my Father I have known Barney Straw all my life. He and men like him have guided me through life with their wisdom, the way they conducted themselves and the organizations they supported. I remember the days long ago. One most remembered is the "Cooties" day and the picture with my dad, 'Ernie'. He was a good friend of my parents, and my deepest sympathies to Nina and family.
