I just came across Eddie's obituary and am so sorry to hear of his passing. I hope you are doing well.

I was lucky to have had Mr Strohmeyer as a math teacher for two years. Most remember him for his work in sports but he had an amazing talent to make algebra exciting. And that is saying a lot. Without a doubt he was one of my two favorite teachers, the other was Mr Mullin. Both are now gone but even 35 years later I often think about them both. I know countless others were also touched and will always hold fond memories. What a wonderful legacy. Joe Eriksen THS Class of 74

My sincere condolences to Beatrice and family on the lost of this wonderful man. I knew both of them at St Cecilia's during our high school days and had family friends who Ed coached at Tenafly High School and always heard his name mentioned with admiration and respect.

Strohmeyer Family,

I knew Ed for only a short time, having been introduced to him at Nautilus Fitness in Westwood a little over a year ago. We realized we had a connection as, in 1961, I had played in The Bergen County Jamboree, his creation and near and dear to his heart. Every time I saw him at the fitness center, he would yell out, "Bill Bors, Park Ridge High School, class of 1961". He was a great guy who I looked forward to seeing and reminiscing with. I will miss him. Please accept my sincere condolences

My deepest sympathies on the passing of Ed. Your loss is shared by all in the basketball officiating community. Ed was the quintessential professional, always willing to guide and instruct. He exemplified all that is "right" about our avocation. I will miss his honesty and frankness combined with his caring about the game. Rest in peace my friend. Sincerely

Bee,
My name is Gina Vintalore. I am the daughter of Irma Brody, she was married to Dave Brody for a time and I had the pleasure of meeting your kind husband, Ed.
I'm not sure he ever mentioned it, but he toutered me in Algebra to get through a core requirement in college. He never took any money or gift to thank him for his effort and time. I passed the course and went on to become a teacher and coach.
I teach and coach at Westwood High school now and I have your husband to thank for helping on my way to my career I love so much. He was a kind, patient man. I just thought you'd like to know. My condolences.
Sincerely,
Gina Vintalore
