Not sure what to say?

Ed was a friend to all and is missed by us!

Dr. Sugarman was the surgeon who helped my son Peter walk again following a devasting diagnosis of Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. He was an answer to my prayers. Peter is now 50 years old and lives a full life thanks to this wonderful man.

Ed and his parents lived next to us in Syracuse in the early 1950's. I think at the time he was attending Syracuse U. and was a reporter for the University newspaper. Ed got me into several SU football games with his press pass. My parents were friendly with his parents. He was always a happy guy and very friendly to me and my younger brother. I did speak to him many years ago about an orthopedic problem. The photo is from the early 1950's.

Barb and I miss a talented and friendly guy. Barb and Walt

I first met Dr. Sugarman at the age of 10, when I was admitted to Shriners Hospital. He was doing his orthopedic residency at the time and we began what became a wonderful life-long friendship. When he settled his permanent practice in Syracuse, I was one of his first patients, and his care and great counsel was always there to guide me. He will be missed, but also has left such a wonderful legacy for all of us. God speed my friend.

The nicest man ever. And the best Doctor. He was interested in everything, and interesting, too.

Dr. Sugarman provided care to our son Peter, my husband Alan, and my brother Bill. He was the kindest and most talented surgeon who provided wonderful care to my family. On the wings of angels may he be reunited with his loved ones in heaven.

I became friends with Dr. Sugarman many years ago when I coached his son Jack at Midstate youth hockey. He was a very sincere and down to earth man that I respected very much. Rest in peace my friend.

Deep sympathies from a respectful colleague.
