Not sure what to say?

I was very sad to hear of Ed's death. I went to UOP with Ed and spent a lot of time with him there. We studied together and hung out with the same students because our EE classes were with the same people who graduated in 1982. In 1983, I visited Ed in Chicago and we had a great time going to a blues bar and listening to the music. Ed was extremely bright. He was very quick witted and loved to banter with his friends. Getting through engineering school was a lot more fun because of Ed....

Just remembering a great human being who was cherished by many and who is missed by all. Love and prayers

Last night I received an email from Josh of High Tech Ventures about Ed. I am so sad. So sad. I am incredibly grateful to have known Ed. The constant theme from Ed was his pure love, joy and pride for his wife and kids. There simply was nothing more important to Ed then his beautiful family. I loved his immense energy for everything he did. His trademark glasses and I loved his "let's get caught up" emails which he took time to send me. Ed made an incredible impact on the world. Love and...

I met Eddie for the first time in 1964 in kindergarten when we both lived in Stockton, CA. He was called "Eddie" back then, or, when he insisted, "Edward William Takacs the Third if you please." We lived down the street from each other up we graduated from high school and went our separate ways. I have thought about him over the years from time to time, thinking that someday we'd reconnect and catch up. I am devastated to learn that that will never happen. My condolences and prayers to...

I went to high school with Ed and we were good friends. I always knew he would do great things. I hoped our paths would cross again and I am so saddened to learn of his passing. My prayers go out to you and your family.

Giuliana, I just learned of Ed's death today. Our very deepest condolences to your family. I'll always remember the good times - whether at the "9s", parties on the wharf or just hanging out. A great guy who will be sorely missed. Blessings and peace to your family.

Dear Giuliana and family, I am sorry for your loss and deeply saddened by this news. Ed means so much to my father, his heart is weighing heavily. I grew up hearing countless stories about their adventures over the decades they knew each other, and have fond memories from my childhood spending time with Ed and the family. I appreciate the memories I have from these times, am thankful that my father had such a good friend throughout his life, and will miss Ed's presence dearly.

I only met with Ed a few times, but that's all it took to gain tremendous respect for him as a talented, energetic and fun person. I know he will be missed by so many people. I offer my deepest condolences to Ed's family at this difficult time.

Terribly sad news. Ed was always a good source of information in the tech space and a positive influence. He will be missed
