Not sure what to say?

Sincere sympathy to the Tanzo family. I went to school with Ed, and we both graduated in 1967.

Lena and I knew each other at Franklin Jr High. Our brothers Mark and Ed were sparring partners on the wrestling team when they were at school. I always remembered the Tanzo's fondly through the years. When my husband joined the Benicia Maintenance family I was bowled over to learn that Ed was there, too--and he always had hysterically funny stories of my brother to share. How remarkably small the world is. We are all greatly saddened at his lose, but proud to say he was such a good friend.

The last time I saw Ed was during my brother Steves funeral last year. Max and I were the same age and Ed was the younger brother who always hung around. We were childhood friends through elementary school. I'll always remember Ed hanging around going trick o' treating, playing ball in the park and walking to school. He will be sadly missed. My deepest condolences to the Tanzo family.

I never had the opportunity to meet Mr. Tanzo. However, I have had the opportunity to meet his son's (Dan and Tanzo) and his daughter Bre-Bre. Through his children and their conversations about their dad, I have a visual of his back yard and all of his unique items in the yard. I can see him on his Harley dressed in his biking attire. While around his children all we do is laugh, therefore I came up with the conclusion the must have gotten it from the father. My only regret is that I...

My cousin Eddie, who called me Ate Virgie when we were growing up together. He was always considerate of me, and I consider him a special brother because we cousins related to each other as one big family of brothers and sisters. I remember him best when we played the game "Sorry!", went fishing at the peer in Vallejo, cut fruit at Yee's Fruityard, and watched Nightmare on Saturday nights. Farewell, Eddie!

Love, Ate Virgie (Burbano)

Ed and his family were my next door neighbors for many years. I have many fun memories of him growing up. My deepest sympathy to he and his family.

To all the Tanzo's - I was so sad to read of Eddie's passing. Just happened to check Times Herald online paper today. I remember how cute & sharp I thought Eddie looked, and the crush I had on him. Fond memories of him & His family, and South Vallejo. Love to all & my deepest sympathies.

My thoughts of Kuya Ed is he is my cousin, my family and when there were parties or special gatherings I would see him and he always made sure he gave hugs and talked with me and everyone. He seemed happy and had an exuberant personality. I shall miss that. He goes home to be with God/Jesus now. I'll never forget cuz Kuya Ed.
