Edward William Tayler

He was the shining light!

"Cooper- Stop biting the bullet and start chewing the fat!" Ed Tayler He wrote it on an index card, and handed it to me 32 years ago and I can still see him doing it! I knew that I must never miss his class- always full of surprise and inspiration! And a sweet, generous man!!!

One of many whom Professor Tayler taught to read--the great intellectual experience of my life--I was moved to keep in touch with him over the next 43 years and found my way here to say thank-you one more time.
