Edward "Ted" Locke La Mura, Jr. passed away on Monday, March 29th in his 57th year. He is survived by his parents, Edward Locke La Mura and Aileen Fox La Mura (Staten Island) and his brother, Kevin Connor La Mura (Bay Ridge).

Ted was a life long resident of Bay Ridge and completed his undergraduate degree at Fordham University followed by a Masters in Business Administration at Pace University. He made a life long career with Verizon, from where he recently retired.

He was an avid international traveler, spanning the globe to see friends any chance he could get. He was also extremely fond of cruises - wherever they would take him. He enjoyed multiple ports and points of interest and shared them with his beloved family and friends through postcards and photos.

In addition to his immediate family he leaves behind numerous cousins and life long friends. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him, and will remain a beacon of light to us all.

Not sure what to say?

Ted exemplified kindness, he never wavered when it came to friendship. Our Ted was their for us during good times, and tragic times. Ted had a heart of gold. He was held in high regard by many. Ted was family to us. Our continued prayers for Ted’s mom, dad and brother as they grieve him. Love Rosaria and Susan.

DEAR Ailene
So sorry to learn of the loss of you son. You will remain in my thoughts and prayers in the hope you and your family will find some comfort in the face of this sad loss.
Sincerely-
Judie Grimaldi

My dearest cousin and another brother. Words can’t say how much I will miss you. You will forever be in my heart and inspiring me to get back to travel from above. Sharon
