Eddie was an awesome coach and a great guy. He was one of the few guys who kept the track running all the time when I raced there in Hampton My regards to his family and friends. R.I.P Eddie you were a hero to all the racers in Hampton and Virginia. You will be greatly missed.

I'm so sorry for your loss Kelly! I'm sorry I missed the season last year and did'nt get to see Eddie to much. I'll miss his jokes about my being slow, or when we compaired our carpenter boo-boo's. I'll miss him.
If you need anything, feel free to call. I'd be glad to help ya out.If you can't find me, the folks at Snow's bike shop usually know where I'm at.
See you soon: Herbie

Eddie
You are gone now,
to a far better place
Sick....no more
Suffering....no longer
Your pain has finally ended
You are gone and we will miss you,
But you'll live forever in our hearts.
Kelli, I wrote this poem in 2001 for my Dad. I have changed only a few words and dedicate to you ,Eddie and your children.

Dear Kelli, Andrew & Thomas,
I was deeply saddened to hear of your loss. Eddie was a quiet, get it done kind of man. Just what Hampton Supertrack needed. The many hours of work and devotion he and you put into HST tells all what a good and caring man he was. HST and where it is at today, compared to just a few years ago is a testimonial to his hard work, selflessnes and ablities.
We will all miss him.

Kelli, Andrew, Thomas,
I'm so sorry about your loss and I'm sorry I can't be there since I'm away at this time. If there is anything we can do please let us know. I enjoyed being out on the track working with Eddie and having him as my friend. I will never forget him and the positive impact he had on so many people. God bless you and the kids. I'll see you as soon as I get back in town.

Dear Kelli and boys,
It has taken this long for me to be able to sit down and write this. When I used my son as a good reason to check out the track three years ago, I had no idea that BMX would become such an important part of my life (again). It didn't take me long to know that there were good people out at the track. Kelli, you and Eddie were nothing but friendly and encouraging from the first day Jon Austin and I raced. Your constant encouragement and Eddie's words of advice only...
