As a physics student and later an adjunct lecturer at Hunter College, I knew Ed Tryon well. He had a great sense of humor and gentle cogent way of explaining things. I remember going to hear Alan Guth speak and bumping into Ed there. He was a great dancer and a fixture at the Physics Department Christmas parties. He was very down to earth and always willing to discuss physics and answer questions. I remember asking him why a quantum fluctuation couldn´t occur within my students´ empty...
