Edward J. Valek

I knew Ed primarily through bowling, and I was always impressed by the way he was able to combine friendliness with competitiveness on the lanes. And he was a reliable team member and league sponsor as well. In addition to everyone else who shares the loss, the area bowling community will miss Ed, too.

We have so many fond memories of Wheeling and Ed. We know that your loss is great and our prayers and love are with you.

Eileen, Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. My memories will always be there. Ed was very special and I will always remember the both of you.

Our prayers are with you guys -
Ed was a part our life for number of years. He was always energetic, humorous, and a fun person to be around and talk to.
We always enjoyed spending time with Ed and the family/friends.
He will be missed by all who knew him.

Our hearts are aching - Roger because he lost a long-time buddy; Barb because she lost a cousin, who urged his friend "Porky" to join him at Friday night dinner at Aunt Agnes's (and Ed ate 24 plum dumplings) which resulted in our long time romance of 51 years. For this, we have always thanked Ed. Those memories and so many other laughs and tears sustain us now. God WILL smile favorably on Ed, we just know that.

To the Valek family: Teresa and I express our deepest sympthies at your lost. Ed always had a great sense of humor and I remember playing many rounds of golf with him. He'll be missed by all of his family members and friends.
