Not sure what to say?

I knew Ed as a Hearst colleague - highly communicative and knowledgeable plus funny. His keen interest in our relationship evolved to "ships" of mentor and friend. I miss the opportunity to just call him and hear his jovial voice and words of wisdom. Love and peace to you, Ed and all your loved ones.

An amazing, kind gentleman who along with his wife passed on those and many more wonderful traits to their family. As a friend of the family, I was lucky enough to have met Ed and to have some great conversations with him. He was always so fun to talk to. Soft spoken and always seemed to know what was going on in my life, tho I wasn't around that much to warrant that!! I hope his family finds peace and I am honored to have known him. God bless

I first met Eddie in the circle on the benches between 2140 and 2160. The spring of 1965. Eddie's vivacious personality and unique talent to string a constant barrage of jokes for his teenaged audience on the bench in the circle was like a tickle machine for the masses. Eddie's voice would draw me in the same as the jingle of the Mister Softee truck on Randall Avenue in front of the park. Seven or eight years ago I was talking with Bobby Murphy in the early morning on the back of a ship. ...

In the projects, when you came out of your building and saw Eddie standing in the Circle with Bobby, Tommy and whoever, your steps quickened because you knew you must've already missed some gems. Eddie's humor, wit and knowledge made for a happy afternoon hanging out on the benches. Forever friendly and happy. Miss you. Love, Ellen and Kevin

Being friends with Ed's younger brother Donald since the 70's in Castle Hill, I became fond of Ed mostly due to Facebook. Everything Ed said was well thought, smart and witty. He was intelligent to the point of you not knowing if he was giving you a verbal lashing or just telling the simple truth. I admired Ed and his honesty. The world will be noticeably sadder without him. Rest in peace always Ed. My deepest condolences to his loving wife and family.

Good friends for 42 years at TDS, CMG, and the rock band Generations.

We were saddened to hear about Ed. He was Pauls friend first in the Navy and then became mine. I love and will cherish the wonderful memories we shared with you and Ed. Our prayers are with you and your family. Love

I will never forget the fond memories with you and the family at the lake house in Shelton, CT. Rest In Peace❣

I loved his Baseball knowledge. He enlightened me with his insight. We both loved The Yankees. RIP Ed. Youll definitely be missed
