My mother Fae Hamblen was married to Ed in 1982 for a few years. I had called him today to tell him she is in her last days. I had no idea he had passed away. Mother loved him very much and kept his photo at her bedside all of these years. When she was at her worst in Dec, she told me she still loved him and wished things had been different. I have fond memories of being with Marcia and Eddie, singing at Maria's wedding and Marcia's memorial service. There are times when I look at Marcia's shalom sign over my door or see one of Eddie's paintings that I just stand in awe at the two of them--and then I smile. I'm certain that Maria and Chester and their families will miss Eddie, but know their memories will be as vivid as mine.
