Dr. Edward D. Walsh Jr.

It was a pleasure knowing and working with Ed at Bell Labs. I'm glad that I got to talk to Ed at one of our Old Timer Luncheons this past summer. I hadn't seen or spoken to Ed since I retired in 1996. My thoughts and prayers are with Jan and Ed.

To Jan and family,
All of us at Ryan Financial will miss Ed and his warm generous ways. We have been privileged to work with Ed for many years and more recently with both of you. In all of our time with Ed he always treated us with the greatest respect and we cherished his friendship. He was a true gentleman and a very good man.

Ed was a great colleague at Bell Labs during my stint in the '70s, who became a friend and gracious host whenever I visited. I wish I had seen him more since his retirement. I'm happy he did so much living during those years.

Ed was one of the most intelligent of the many engineers with which I had the pleasure of working. May his soul rest in peace.

It was a pleasure to have known Ed. With all his activities, he always had interesting stories to tell

Ed will be missed. He was a good friend both at Bell Laboratories and afloat.
