When I think of Uncle Eddie, I think of fun and good times. I think of travelling the world and embracing each moment in a joyful and pleasing mood. I think of my mom and how she talked about her little brother in such a sweet and beautiful way. Thank you Uncle Eddie for all that you have done for my family, for my mom and dad. We will miss you.

Uncle Eddie,

I will always remember the laughter that I had with you. You were always teasing me about something in a very gentle way. I can never forget the envelope I received in Morocco with a $5 Egyptian bill in it, telling me to go ahead and spend it, when I got to Egypt since I was 1/2 way there anyways. Thank you for always reaching out to me and my brothers and sisters and making us a very special part of your life.

Love,
Your Neice,
Annie Murphy

When we think of SF, we automatically think of the beautiful home on Presidio Terrace where we spent many a weekend taking in the wonderful hospitality extended to us by Mr. and Mrs. Walsh. We were heartbroken to hear of his passing and can only hope that you take comfort in the knowledge that he was a greatly admired man, a gentleman in the truest sense of the word and that we will miss Eddie.
Our hearts go out to you.

Sincere sympathy to the Walsh family from one of your Irish cousins. I remember meeting Eddie & Gunild on some of their visits to Ireland. He was a lovely man and held in high esteem by his Irish cousins - especially my 89 years young mother, Peg Bermingham (nee Walsh)who is saddened by his passing.

I came to know Ed only in the past few years, at the Olympic Club Senior Fitness group. Soft-spoken, gentlemanly, competitive, graceful and gracious; it was a pleasure and a privilege to begin to know him. He and Mrs. Walsh sat at the same table as did my wife and I at one of the annual dinners. That was an added treat. Our sincere condolences to all of his family.

I will never forget the trip to Ireland, time spent at Stinson, dinner at Eddie and Gunilds home, and celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Converstation with Uncle Eddie was always such a unique pleasure, wit and intelligence abounded. My heartfelt condolences to his family and all who will feel the loss of his presence.

In memory of Uncle Eddie, an extremely wise and generous person. Don and I will never forget, as young parents, his kindness in treating us to a weekend away after the death of my mother, his sister.

His advise on any subject, whether asked for or volunteered, was given in sincerity and was always welcome.

He has always inspired us and reinforced the importance of being a family and taking care of family.

Don and I are there in spirit.

Love, Don...
