I remember the first time I met Ed in May of 1993. We sat at the dinner table and he told me stories from the 30s and 40s. I enjoyed that very much. He grew up during the Depression and WW2 and I always enjoyed hearing stories from those times. We think of our lives as hard, but we cannot imagine the hardships that people like Ed and Ruth went thru to give us much of what we have today.
