Not sure what to say?

The loss of Ed from our breakfast club and our hearts is difficult to accept. He was a truly lovely man, who enlivened our lives and hearts. We miss him so much.

I offer my deepest sympathy to the Yastrow family. It was a great pleasure to have known Ed for the past many years.

Chap and Ed on his last visit to the Field Museum, where he worked for nearly four decades as volunteer & associate in the then Depart of Anthropology

Ed. You were a friend, father figure, mentor, and confidant; a grandpa to my son Jesse and daughter Eve. You filled a void that work-enforced exile imposed upon my Kenyan family. Your home became our home. You taught me the true meaning of compassion, dedication, and a commitment to life, family, knowledge, and the wellbeing of mother earth--the universe. With you by my side, I felt complete. I miss you so much. Chap

We were so sorry to hear of Ed's passing. We have such fond memories of him, you, Didi, and your entire wonderful family. Please know that our thoughts and hearts are with you.

My thoughts and prayers to all the Yastrow family at this difficult time. Mr. Yastrow as well the rest of the family were always so kind and pleasant to me during my 30 yrs. at the Birchwood Club. Barb Tarvin

what a truly wonderful man Ed was!
He brought so much joy to my sons Brandon and Phillip. They will always remember how special he was as will I and David.
