Beloved husband of 73 years to Marie T. Zimmerman.  Dear father of Christine (Dennis) Fellona and Mark (Dorothea) Zimmerman.  Loving grandfather of Emily, Gregory, Jessie, Eric and Karl and great grandfather of Kaitlyn, Sophie, Grace, Paige, Dominic, Kora and Iris.  He is also lovingly survived by two sisters, Lorraine Schaffer and Patricia Farlino.

Edward was one of eight children of the late Daniel and Elizabeth Zimmerman.  He was a Korean Conflict U.S. Navy veteran.  Edward was a longtime employee of Quaker Lace Co., Philadelphia, PA, where he was a mentor to younger lace weavers and union leader.  He was known as a well-dressed man, enjoyed dancing to big band music and was proud of keeping a clean and shiny car.

Not sure what to say?

Ed was like a Father to me: He took me to my first Baseball game, he taught me how to paint a room and other stuff, he taught me to put the glue on wall paper, he taught me how to wax a car (his). He taught me many other things about life, too numerous to mention. And through all these things I loved him like a father.
My older brothers Tom and Jack, now deceased, also thought of Ed as our father. Our biological Father died when Tom was 11, Jackie 8 and I was 2. Ed practically adopted...

May you rest in peace Uncle Ed. Love Dolores Windfelder

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

Uncle Ed. You were indeed my Dad's best friend and a Wonderful Uncle to Jerry and Joanie and I.
Still remember all the Thanksgiving Parades we all attended together.
May your Blessed Soul find Eternal Peace in God's Holy Kingdom.
RIP Dear Uncle.

Your grateful Nephew George.
