Not sure what to say?

Deanna and I thought the world of Ed. He was a great example of a supervisor who protects employees or as an officer who fights right next to team members, slugging it out right next them. I lost my wife, Deanna, to Alzheimer's over two years ago. I still think of Ed and Deanna as heroes during my life. I was lucky to have them both in my life. I miss them both very much. I have Parkinson's Disease, but I will spend the rest of my life looking for a cure for this brain disorder, just...

It has been eight years since Ed's passing. During those years, I lost my dad, my wife, and my mother. I also ran over my dog. I now have Parkinson's disease and live in an old-folks home. But after all of this, I still miss Ed, "the best boss I ever had." I wish their were more Ed's in the world to take on the uncertain future for our grandkids. Ed, "God had a special place for you. God bless you for all that you accomplished during your life.

He was the best supervisor I ever had. He always did the right thing, no matter how difficult it was.

My wife has Alzheimer's, but she still remembers Ed. That's how memorable a person he was. I appreciate the opportunity to read all the comments about this remarkable officer. I never met a better boss, officer, patriot, or friend. He was truly "one of a kind." I still miss him and what he stood for. Ed, God bless you forever.

Ed was my friend for 32 years, my co-worker for 27 years and my neighbor for 22 years. He was a loyal friend who could light up a room and have you laughing on your darkest days. He was not only good to me and my husband but he loved my kids and was so kind to them, and I will always be grateful to him for that. We worked hard at the Law Office but we also had fun and he was a big part of the reason why. I'm not sure he knew how much we all loved him. I wish everyone had a friend like him. I...

I have known Ed Babbitt for 25 years and had the pleasure of serving with him on the Air Force Contracts Trial Team (JAB) on two different occasions as an Air Force JAG officer. Ed was a fierce litigator and a stand-up leader. More importantly, he was a generous and compassionate person, a friend and inspiration to so many. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I have known Ed for 15 years. He was a caring, humble, fun, and loving man. He was always there for me and treated my son and I like his own. We have so many happy memories we will forever cherish, especially every other Saturday for the past several years, when he spent those mornings watching my son play soccer. We will miss you dearly, "Papaw".

I have known ed for several years and had the honor to be his hair stylist for the last 10 years. I could always count on him every 3 weeks on Wednesday at 1 pm. I'm so very sorry to hear of this great loss. I will miss him dearly.

I am still stunned by Ed's passing. Ed was the colleague that I went to for advice when I joined the trial team 15 years ago. "JAB" had many smart attorneys, but none with Ed's unique combination of intellect, street smarts, and genuine desire to be helpful. Never was Ed too busy or distracted. Never was my problem too small or too complicated. Always, always, always....Ed lent a kind ear, sized up the matter swiftly, and then dished out his one-of-a-kind brand of unvarnished advice with...
