Not sure what to say?

To the Bice children - I’m terribly sorry to hear that you have lost another parent at such a young age. Your father and mother were such great individuals. I look back fondly at the time spent with you all while growing up in West Winfield. You are in our thoughts and prayers! Jeff and Katrina Lockwood

I am so sorry to read this. What a wonderful life he had. I am so sorry for all of you. My sympathies.

I worked at NYPA with Ed through the ‘80’s and early 90’s. He was always a gentleman. Tough, yet fair and kind. We recently connected through Facebook, where we would argue over politics. I am so going to miss him, but will always think of him with a smile in my heart. Godspeed, dear friend! To the Bice clan, I’m so sorry for the loss of your terrific Dad. Sending you al gentle hugs and prayers - Sincerely Mary Lou Newman-Mercurio

To all of his children so very sorry for loss of your dad. My daughter Bobbi Jo went to school with you especially Eddie and Cubby. I’m sure there are some stories to be told as Keith Gates would say. Last time I saw Eddie was at Mount Markham scholarship awards several years ago where he was presenting award in memory of your mom Bev and myself in memory of Bobbi both who lost battle with cancer. From your dads obituary it shows all the memories you have so keep them close because they are...

Ed was simply was of the best and nicest people to work with, he always went out of his way to offer his services to help you in any way possible. Ed and I worked closely together at the New York Power Authority in Marcy, NY from 1998 till his retirement. During this tenure Ed and I became good friends as coworkers. I was sitting at my computer this afternoon, still doing a little consulting work, when I was overtaken with the sudden urge to look up Ed and typed in 'obituary' as an...

Ed and I played sports together throughout high school and remained friends for life. We shared stories of our Air Force days and often reminisced about life in a small town. Ed always stayed in shape, had a biting wit and loved his country like few others. An extensive family will now share the life of good times with "Papa". God bless his family and friends.

Amazing obituary for an amazing man. From his service to his Nation, to his commitment to his community and family, he truly was one to emulate.
Heartfelt condolences and prayers for strength as you celebrate his awesome life.
