Not sure what to say?

Everyday I am grateful for new experiences/opportunities and the chance to be with family and friends. I think of you and our other classmates who aren´t as fortunate as the ones that are still here. We remember you, honor you by trying to live our life to the fullest with the many examples you left for us. Your star shines brightly.

Thinking of Ed and his family during the holiday season. The loss and good memories are still there but know it is hard to not have him with you. Just want to let you know we all remember him for his many special qualities. Mary Ann Snider

Whenever I think of Ed it brings a smile to my face. There is a saying about time healing all wounds. I disagree. I think our memories and emotions may change, but not sure there will ever be complete healing. My hope for your family and his many friends will always be to see his candle burning brightly.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. I often think of MrBrown, when watching Jeopardy!. When driving into the sun. I was suspended for non attendance- he said that is ridiculous and told me to be in his class every day of that suspension.Respect. Wanted to let him know. Kathleen '85

Barbara and family, I am sure that this has been a very difficult year for you. I think of Ed and your family with fond memories. Loved that the two of you followed your dreams and built your round house together. Feel very fortunate that I got to spend a wonderful evening with you and some of our classmates. Ed was loved and respected by so many. The good memories will always bring a smile to our faces.

Many wonderful memories of Ed and being a member of the class of 61. He and Barb opened their home to our classmates at a class reunion a few years ago. As he gave us a tour of his home we remembered when he drafted the design for the unique round house back in 7th grade. Not everyone works to make their dreams come true. Ed did. It was so evident how he felt about his family. How hard he worked with Barb to make their dreams a reality, for not only them, but their...

Ed Brown was a stellar teacher. In reading through some of the memories, I am heartened to even see folks that were in my class, such as Pat Garrison, first hour from 1995-1996. His aphorisms, board notes, acid wit and academic rigor made him stand out, particularly to a fifteen year old. He had an innate ability to teach, and I count myself lucky to have been treated to that. Beyond just being an outstanding instructor, Ed was a good man. At the front of his classroom over the...

Once in a lifetime people get to meet an amazing teacher like Mr.Brown. He had a way of making students take pride in themselves and their schoolwork, it was his gift to many of us that walked through his classroom door. My most fond memory was the way that he used a mnemonic to remember our names. It was often a silly rhyme or a catchphrase. I remember a feeling of pride when Mr.Brown changed mine from "never together heather" to always together heather". It was almost like a right of...

Mr. Brown was an inspiration and a great teacher. He did more than teach facts about world history, he prepared us for college. He inspired us all to do better. Through his guidance, I chose MSU, a decision I will forever be grateful. GO GREEN.
