I started working, as a young lawyer, with Carl Dudensing, in July, 1988. Having learned of Carl´s passing this last Friday, in my search for his obituary, much to my sadness, I found Ed´s. I learned SO much watching, and listening to, Ed. I would accompany him to what used to be the Industrial Accident Board. That was his "courtroom." Karen, James, Alan, and Len - This morning I learned of Ed's passing. It is with a heavy heart that I send my condolences. When I think of Ed Carrell I think of many good times filled with laughter and light heartedness. May God be with you and give you strength.

At Baylor, we were teammates (pitcher and catcher) neighbors in the married student apts., roomies on baseball trips, golfing buddies and we reconnected in Houston when he was with Texas Employers Ins Assoc and I was practicing law in Houston. Our hearts are broken to see Ed's obit in the paper today. I can't tell you how much we cared about him. He was a delight and true friend and I will miss him greatly. Our hearts goes out to your entire family. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
