Ed (and Jan) were fun, kind and giving people... and we all enjoyed spending time at the Colby's home during high school and the years beyond. Lobstering, fishing for stripers, new year's clam chowder, Bert and I and watching the Hingham fireworks from their home are just some of the many fond memories from yester-year.

Dear Ralph and family. Sorry about the passing of Uncle Ed. He had a large influence on me growing up, with my love of the ocean and eventually joining the USCG. We always had a lot of fun out on his boat. Take care, Greg Parmenter (nephew) and June Parmenter (sister-in-law).

I consider Ed Colby as a second father. He was a great man and an even breater role model. He will be missed.
