I was employed by Ned to design and typeset some of his last books. They were marvelous stories, and I was wondering if there would be more. It was a privilege to collaborate with this humane and erudite author.

To Ned's family,
I am honored to have been Ned's god-daughter. His kind and gentle nature, his gentlemanly charm, and the twinkle in his eye captivated me as a young girl. His intellect and many interests intrigued and inspired me. The special attention I received was fodder for this little girl's budding self-esteem. Our thoughts and prayers are with Fairfax and all Ned's family and friends who gather at Hollywood Cemetery tomorrow. We deeply regret that a minor health issue will prevent us from being there. We are so grateful for many years of loyalty, enjoyment, inspiration and example of honor and faith by which Ned's life enriched our lives. Memories of Episcopal High School, Princeton, Harvard Law School and Washington DC/ Virginia will endure, and we will continue to praise and cherish the best...
