Not sure what to say?

From all your flying buddies in the Midwest Navioneers: You may have flown West, but know that we let you go with heavy hearts, Ed. We'll look after Eleanor, but we'll sure miss your grinning face at our fly-ins.

The picture says it all. A man who always had a smile and a love of life. I know you will enjoy being with your sister, mom and dad but you have a left a hole that won't be filled. Our sympathies go to all the family members. We love you.

Gonna miss you Ed-You always had the most upbeat possitive personality of anyone I ever met! I always respected your history of serving in the war, and flyin fighter planes, and I could tell all you wanted to do was fly and you would be happy. Mike Tillman aircraft mechanic, Mt. Hawley airport Peoria Ill.

I have so many memories of Uncle Edwin. It's funny how I always knew him as Edwin but I'm pretty sure he was known more by Ed. I remember Uncle Edwin buzzing the house with his airplane, so we knew he was back and ready to be picked up. I loved visiting his beautiful home; it was always a treat. I enjoyed listening to him because I always felt Uncle Edwin was such an intelligent man, and that I could learn from him. He will be greatly missed by many. What saddens me most when someone...

I will always remember Uncle Edwin's zest for life, strong political convictions, and his drive to live life to its fullest. He will be missed. Our deepest sympathies - Adda and TJ

He is truly flying now and enjoying the flight with mom, grandpa and grandma. However, that doesn't lessen the pain of losing your dad, husband and my uncle.
