Edwin A. Elsner

Edwin "Ed" Anthony Elsner, 54, of Rock Island, died May 15, 2008 at his home. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2008 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Trinity Pathway Hospice. Ed was born July 17, 1953 in Rock Island to Raymond and Lucille (Hegwood) Elsner. He married Marsha Butter on November 22, 1988 in Rock Island. Ed worked for the city of Rock Island for 4 years as a police officer. He then worked as a lead supervisor of printing for the Argus, and Tri Co. Ed was a St. Louis Cardinal fan and NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He is survived by Wife Marsha Daughter Rachelle Matheny Marietta, OH Son Jason (Lisa) Bebber Rock Island 7 Grandchildren & 1 Great Grandchild Brother Gene Elsner Rock Island He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Cheryl Elsner.
