Edwin Milner "Eddie" Everett, Jr., 69 died Monday afternoon (May 7, 2012) at Mayo Clinic Health System at Waycross from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was a native and life-long resident of Ware County until making his home in Pierce County for the past two months. He was the son of the late E.M. "Bo" Everett, Sr, and Theo Smith Everett. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Virginia M. Harper. He was a graduate of Waycross High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Valdosta State College. He had retired as Executive Vice-President of People's Bank of Blackshear after many years of service. He was a former member of the Waycross Exchange Club and had formerly served in the National Guard. Survivors include his wife, Janice Jordan Everett of Blackshear; a daughter, Lisa E. Durrence of Waycross; two sisters, Betty Christmas (husband Johnny) of Waycross and Linda Fiveash (husband Dennis) of Waycross; two brothers, Teddy Everett (wife Jeanette) of Blackshear, and Tommy Everett (wife Phyllis) of Quincey, FL; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice or to the American Diabetes Association, P O Box 11454, Alexandria VA 22312 or www.diabetes.org. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday (May 10, 2012) at Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Friday at Music Funeral Home.
