Edwin Finch

Will always have fond memories of working with Ed at the Trinitarian Church. He was so tremendously organized and dedicated to a fault But always managed to let slip evidence of his quirky humor. I will always cherish having worked with him.

Ed Finch was a very great historian and story teller. We spoke often and I learned a lot about the Northfield Inn and especially the Shell Chateau.. One of my favorite stories is when Ed took me and my nephew Shane, on a hike on the Chateau property. He showed us where the gardens were and the most interesting thing is that we walked where there was once a lake behind the Chateau! I never knew that! I could tell you many more stories that Ed told me of local lore. He had a gift for story...

Many fond memories of a thoughtful. Gentle soul in Ed. He has a fine legacy, a wonderful history for his surviving family members to be proud of. R.I.P.
