Not sure what to say?

Edwin and Erma Fix were kind and patient landlords. An example: In 1980, my broken down Chevette leaked oil onto their concrete parking pad at 814/816 Jamaica Ct. I tried to clean up the stain, but it didn't work. They said not to worry, and said it in a way that I understood they really were forgiving me and really didn't want me to worry. We weren't renters there for long, but they looked out for us.

Ed and Erma and their two sons were good friends of ours when we all attended the Pacific Beach Methodist Church. We remember Ed as a loving father, caring friend and strong leader in our church.

Grandpa was a great man who taught me the value of hard work and giving back to your community. He never took credit for all of the good things he did for others, it was always just the right thing to do. I was fortunate to have such a loving grandpa.

Ed starting working at Southwestern College one semester before I did. We were among the new ones on campus. I was fortunate to share an office with Ed for a couple of years Erma and Ed were always a most enjoyable couple to be with at social functions.

Ed was a wonderful mentor to me as a Southwestern professor and in the rental business in our Mission Beach neighborhood. I knew him as a philosopher, teacher, laughter-loving, good and kind man. He is greatly missed.

I was Ed's office partner at Southwestern for many years. What a fine gentleman and professor.

Rest in peace, "Uncle" Ed. I will always treasure the many Thanksgivings and New Years our families spent together. My condolences to the entire family.

I didn't know Edwin Fix but knew his son Bill since Jr/Senior High School in Pacific Beach and to this day I still can see Bills face even after all these years.
My condolences go out to the family.
