Edwin T. Fleming

I first met Ed in the spring of 1980. At first, and for a while, we did not get along. Some people assumed that I resented him because I wanted the job, he came to do. Reality was, I had no ambition or direction in my life at that time, and I resented almost everyone who did.

Ed saw something in me, and this great man who could move mountains by the sheer force of his personality, chose instead to follow an axiom he learned from a mentor, as a young salesman for Proctor and Gamble: A...

To say that Ed Fleming made a significant impact on my professional life and my personal life is a colossal understatement. I mourn his passing, and yet find strength in reflecting on a rich bank of memories from the 26 years that I was privileged to know him. I extend my deepest sympathy to his family. The world has truly lost someone very special
