Not sure what to say?

I was saddened to see that Ed Gabel had died. He was my family's paperboy in Topeka in the late 1940s, and I idolized him. I went to Holy Name Grade School from 1st until the middle of 5th Grade, and asked my Mother to ask Ed to be my Confirmation sponsor at Holy Name Church in 1947, I think it was, and he agreed. My brother, Jack, said I needed a sponsor to pick me up after the bishop knocked me down with the slap during the ceremony.

Rose Mary, I was sorry to hear of your father's death, but, was thankful to get to see you. God Bless you. your classmate from Randolph and THS.

The Officers and Members of the Topeka Moose Lodge would like to extend our sympathy to the family of our past Governor Ed. Ed became a part of our defending circle when he joined the Moose Fraternity. He served this Fraternity well and now our defending circle has been broken by his passing. He will be missed. My God bless him.
