I took care of Bruce during the final years of his life. He became a close friend and we shared many great memories together. I looked forward to being his caregiver and spending personal time in the morning getting him ready to see his wife. It has been 2 years and he still has a spot in my heart. Thank you for the special relationship we had, which was not always expressed through words but more often through winks, smiles, and "good mornings"

My heartfelt condolences to Antoinette and family. Bruce and I were classmates at Dartmouth College Class of 1954. No fancy words on my part, just Bruce was a great guy and a great friend and I have wonderful memories of our times together at college. And what an impressive career as an educator and coach. I am so glad we were able to share some time together years ago. John Heyn Owings Mills, Md.

The impact Bruce had on my life and so many other lives cannot be adequately measured. As a coach and an educator, his approval meant everything. As an administrator, he got results by holding others to the same high standards he held himself to. There was also no greater friend than Bruce--to spend time in his company was always time well spent. He was a great man and he is missed.

I will never forget how Mr. Haertl went out of his way to make me feel welcome at CWA when I first arrived in the fall of my 10th grade year. He recognized that I felt like an outsider and made sure that I knew I could come to him if I had problems or concerns....I took him up on that offer more than once until I graduated, his listening and giving his honest input was always appreciated. He was a kind man and a true gentleman. Definitely one of the all time greats. My condolences to his...

Mr Haertl was a fixture at the Citrus and Mountain/ Dunes in LaQuinta. I worked at those Courses in the 90's thru 2015. Bruce always had a warm greeting and a smile for you. We had some great conversations on the driving Range. He loved his Red Sox. My sincere condolences to his family. Rest in peace sir.

I met Bruce late in his life. One of the best things that happened to me was getting to play golf with him. We talked and talked about the Pacific NW, Tacoma , and mostly the golf swing.
He was a Golfing Gentleman!

Some of our sweetest memories of friendship were with the Heartl's. We shared the love of reading with them and always looked forward to exchanging books. Bruce's choices were always mind expanding. By being our friend, he enriched our lives. The OBrien's
