He was my uncle, 2yrs older than me. We played together as kids, got in trouble together(his fault) and enjoyed life together. I will miss him although I hadn't seen him since 2001. The angels needed some back-up music.

I had the great privilege of playing in the saxophone section with Denny for a year in the Sweet Soul Band. It was a pleasure getting to know this man. I will say that he was not only a great sax player, but a great teacher and a great person. I learned a great deal just being in his presence. He will be greatly missed. May his soul rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to Denny's family. I had the honor of sharing the stage with Denny many times, and he was the best saxophonist I ever played with. He was also a gentleman; a kind and gracious man. He is playing in heavens orchestra now !!
