What a wonderful man, always so gentle and kind who will be greatly missed. Both your Dad and Mom made you feel happy after being with or just speaking with them. Our families go way back and our parent go even future.

So sorry I wasn't able to attend the funeral, but please accept my deepest condolences.

First day of Stokes School 1951, I went flying down the hall headed out back for recess. Threw the door open and down at the bottom of the stairs stood Mr. Harris. Smile on his face, he had on shorts, white t=shirt , ball cap and a whistle around his neck. He seemed happy to see me and from then on I was happy to see him for the next 68 years, except for a time or two in high school.

I have so many fond memories of Hale and Mary Alice, and also of Mrs. Eunice, Hale's sweet mother. Hale was a fine Christian man, and a fine educator. He will be sorely missed. His like does not come around often. Now he is reunited with Mary Alice.

Outstanding Leader who positively impacted many thousand high school students in Nashville Tennessee over many years of dedicated service to this community . I was fortunate to be one of them and will forever be grateful for his leadership at Hillsboro High School during the 1960s. Teachers/Principals like Hale are what have helped make Nashville what it is today!! He was a blessing to many
