On this, the 6th anniversary of Ed going to Heaven, I just want to share that I still think of him and Judy each and every day. I feel his presence every time I paint, work on an artistic project, teach one of my science classes, or see something beautiful in nature. He framed my perspective on beauty since my freshman year at SHU and for the rest of my life. On top of all this, his wit and humor still makes me crack up. I actually used one of his jokes today, and gave him credit of course....

Ed was a remarkable person. I had the pleasure knowing Ed as a student both at the Prep (1973) and at Seton Hall University (1977). He was interested in my work as an art historian, especially my work on the Pennsylvania Impressionists. I visited him about 10 years ago at his home in Bethlehem PA. I just found out about Ed's death. I had the pleasure of knowing Ed while I was at the Prep from 1967 to 1971. He was quick witted, passionate and talented. I wasn't one of his art students, but I loved our conversations on all aspects of culture and the arts. Ironically, my wife and I just moved to Sun City Center in Florida, where Ed spent his last year's. All our love to Ed's widow Judy and his family.

Ed was a fine man, a great teacher, excellent artist and a kind and generous friend.
I was fortunate to meet him as a student at Seton Hall Preparatory. He was the never -tiring energetic art teacher who inspired many. Ed was instrumental in my decision to study art full time when I was enrolled at Seton Hall University, where he began teaching after leaving the Prep. I recall him as a jovial , kind hearted man who was always encouraging me to go further than I thought I could go.

Ed's name came up during a discussion at my home on Christmas Eve just last week. I was saddened when I heard today about Ed's passing from another Seton Hall alumni .
I had the distinct honor to have called Ed my teacher, my mentor and my friend during my days at Seton Hall Prep and Seton Hall University (1972-1979) I was one of the lucky upper classmen at the Prep who were allowed to take Advanced Art and I have great memories of our classes in the basement-level storage room/art...
