I Have known Ed for 25 years and it was a great honor to be with him and the other Raiders. I feel a great loss every time a Raider passes on. My best to the family and to Wes Fields.

MSgt Horton .... What I like to think ....
When a man like you having lived your life in honor, respect and love..... dies, it is easy to think that they are now far away.
... You are not far away. You have been a part of us; that love our country in everything we say, think and do.
We need to realize ... of every breath that we breathe; those inhalations are shaped by our wealth of experiences in the short life with people like you.
We are in body on earth for...

Ed and Monta Horton were wonderful people and I am thankful for having known them. I knew Ed and Monta thru the FWB Camellia Society. Ed built a wood Bible display case for me and other items for the Society. I've been blessed to know him. I made a special effort to see Ed last May during the Doolittle Raiders reunion and I'm glad I got to see him.
The Doolittle Raiders were great Americans and I'm thankful for them. They will not be forgotten.
My prayers for Ed's Family.

Yes, Ed Horton will truly be missed by my family. He and his beloved wife Monta befriended my grandmother Sarah Frances Brooks Pryor during the formation of the Frances Pryor Camellia Society. They bonded, and with Ed's full support, Ed and his family became fast friends. My deepest sympathy to the family of this modest, true man.
