Edwin H. Jensen

Edwin H. Jensen, 67, of Atlantic, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Neb.
Edwin Herman Jensen Jr. was born Sept. 18, 1949, in Carroll, to Edwin Herman and Norabelle (Christensen) Jensen. He grew up in Exira and graduated from Exira High School in 1967. He moved to Atlantic in 1968 and has lived there since.
He worked in the construction business for 38 years, was a supervisor for Abild and also drove a truck for Walnut Grove.
He married Edwina McLeary April 28, 1979, in Atlantic. He was a member of the Eagles Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling to Deadwood, S.D., Myrtle Beach, Fla., Okoboji, and vacationing in general.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his sister, Connie Walters; and his brother-in-law, Joseph W. McLeary Baltimore, M.D.
Edwin is survived by his wife, Edwina Jensen of Atlantic; daughters, Gina (Dave) Wesson of Omaha, Neb., Tammy Kirk of Griswold, and Becky (Aaron) Brandwein of Springfield, Mo.; brother, Gary (Elaine) Jensen of Atlantic; grandchildren, Dustin and Cheyenne Kirk of Tulsa, Okla., and Jared Hood of Fort Carson, Colo.; nephews, Jason (Tammy) Jensen of Elk Horn, and Scott (Amber) Jensen of Atlantic; his close friend, Brian Falk of Omaha, Neb.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, at Hockenberry Family Care in Atlantic.
