I was saddened to read that Ed Laing has passed and regretted not staying in touch with him this past year or so. I grew some of his vegetables and helped Ed set up planted container in his next to last SB apartment. He loved plants and eating good food and enjoyed chatting about many subjects, especially the values of socialism in solving contemporary socio-economic problems. He remained sharp of mind and positive even in the face of his terminal illness. God bless you Ed.
