Joan, Laurie and Brian I´m so sorry for your loss. Eddie was such a great guy. My sincere sympathies

I knew Mr. Mercier when I was a member of the New Britain Police Dept. from 1974-1995. I was in the patrol division assigned to third shift for quite some time. I'm not sure of the exact date when Mr. Mercier was promoted to Captain and shift Commander of the third shift but he was without a doubt the best supervisor I ever worked for during that time. He was always approachable and easy to talk to. Truely one of a kind.

For an old friend from an old friend. We sat next to each other in Mr. Carlson"s home room class at NBHS for three years. Just a wonderful person to have known. Joan I share in your loss.

As one of Ed's many friends, I am deeply sorry for his loss. My condolences to Joan, his " high school sweetheart", to Lori and Brian. Ed was one of those special people who came a long once in a while. May he rest in eternity with the God that he served.
