MINZEL, Edwin "Ned" Passed away at home Saturday March 5th, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Claudia Minzel, his children, Lori (Ken) Schmidt, Darcie (Eric) Schmidt, Blaine Allen, Amedee (Ron) Vally, and Derek (Janice) Minzel, 13 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren....

Amedee and Family; we are so sorry for your loss. Ned was a great guy; I always remember him being so quiet around the house but pleasant. Amedee I rememeber in 6th grade hanging out at your house; we were always singing and acting goofy. Well you ran to the kitchen for something and I was singing at the top of my lungs thinking that it was you and I in the house alone; sure enough I turn around and theres your dad. One of the many Hayden Lake weekends!
Claudia and family. What can I say that hasn't been said by many, many people. Ned was a funny, memorable, thoroughly outrageous individual. He was my fearless leader in the Husky/Cougar debate. I followed where ever he led and we usually ended up in trouble. Love him to death. Sincerest sympathies to all of you.

Claudia and family, Our deepest sympathy to you in your loss of a marvelous man. We will always remember our fun times on Huckleberry Bay and the laughs Ned provided. Especially Ned shooting canons at the Rebel Flag; plus our Winter Knights association. We are sorry that we can't be there on Saturday, we are in AZ.
