Loving One, Ricky and families. I am so sorry for your pain. I wanted to be there but didn't have transportation. Loving One, I remember when your father and Chief Spot started the language school in RI. I wanted to go so badly but it was too far by the time I got out of work. Ricky I don't think you were born yet. Your mother was sooo pretty and I admired her smile. I wanted to look like her with those pretty eyes.
Now time has past and both Chiefs are gone. I am glad the language still...

May he have a swift journey to our creator. condolences to all the family

Chief Wise Owl was a very good man. I was deeply honored to have him speak and pray at my ordination at The First Congregational Church of Dudley in 1997, then to co-officiate his wedding in 2001. Although not federally recognized, he lives on as the man he has always been... a Chaubunagungamaug Nipmuck Indian. Chief Wise Owl, you, your beautiful family and all your people are held in the collective heart and prayer of all our church family and friends... as we have walked a spiritual path...

I didn't really know you well but over the years people I knew or worked with spoke about your welcoming spirit. My favorite story is a Polish guy I worked with in E. Douglas back in 1988 said he was Nipmuc, too. I said that is wonderful are we related? The Polish older gentle men told me no, I'm 100% Polish but officially made a card carrying member of the Webster Nipmuck's! The man pulled out his card with a smile and said "everyone is welcome into the tribe"!

My condolences to Lucyann Loving One, and her family. My thoughts are with you and yours. Debbie C.
