Not sure what to say?

Dear Pam and Family

I am so sorry to learn of Ed's passing. I wish I could have been there this past Saturday to celebrate his life, but alas I had a previous engagement at Indiana University. Ed taught me Higher Education and the Law in grad school at USF--the book still sits on my shelf here in my office at UC Berkeley. He encouraged me to apply for my first job out of grad school and I joined him and the CSUH folks in 1994. Ed was my mentor from the first day I stepped into his...

Dear Pam and family,

My thoughts are with you with the news of Ed's passing. I worked in Student Affairs at Cal State Hyaward for ten years and have fond memories of his kindness, support and mentorship in the time we worked together. What I remember most was the intensity with which he listened when an issue arose, concerned about the implications for students and reaching a fair and equitable resolution. I recall that he championed the development of the university union, one of...

Dear Pam and family,
We are so sorry to hear of Ed's passing. Too young, even at 77, because he continued to touch so many lives in such a positive way. The guys from his class always gave him so much respect. Terry always referred to Ed as "our Quarterback and Class Presideet". We will indeed miss him at the class reunions, won't be the same without him. But we hope you continue to keep in touch with all of us, and our prayers are with you and your family. Terry and JoAnn Turk

Hi Pam and Family!
Words can not express...Ed was such a dear, fair and wonderful person.

Reflect on the good times as you begin to move forward.

My thoughts are with you and the family!

GO GREEN!

Dear Pam and Family, Life at Eden will not be the same without Ed. He will be greatly missed and thought of often. Carol Price

I will be starting my 28th year in the Financial Aid Office at CSU, Hayward (aka East Bay) later this month. Dr. Ed is among many of the great memories I have working at the CSUH campus. He was a kind, generous person with a great sense of humor and he was wonderful with our students. I felt fortunate to know such a person so committed to the well-being of our students.

Met Ed when I first started working at CSU Hayward in 1974. He was one of the most kind and friendly guys on our floor. Always had a smile on his face. He will truly be missed.

Pam, so sorry to hear about Ed. It was so great to have seen you guys and spend some time with you at our 50th class reunion. Life has been good to all of us and we will miss Ed at our next reunion. Skip and Marcia Carl

Dear Pam, We have just learned of Ed's death. I know the family is proud of the life of service to our community. There are lots of good memories from the seventies. There were some insider laughs as well. Remember you and Carol at those dinners? Introductions, introductions and more introductions!!!
