Not sure what to say?

The last time I saw Ed was in the summer of 1969 when his family traveled to Maine to visit with my family, I am a cousin of his on his Mom's side. I regret not keeping in touch with him over these past many years and only learned of his passing a couple weeks ago. My heart goes out to all his family, especially his Mom, who also lost her son Jim only a few months earlier. All my prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Rick Lawson Jr.

Such an infectious smile! In high school Ed was always smiling, and it sounds like things never changed. My sincere condolences go out to his family and friends. God bless you all.

My heart hurts everytime I hear of one of our own leaving this world. Ed was so young, but the God I believe in, has a purpose for him. My deepest sympathy's go to Ed's family. I know you hurt and will miss him. Time will heal you hurt and your memories will be forever.

When I looked at the picture published with his obituary, I was struck by the fact that his smile had not changed in all these years. I lost contact with Ed after high school, but always had fond memories and often thought of him and where he might be these days. For the brief time I knew him he really made a lasting impression on me because of his easy-going, fun manner and great personality. I had the pleasure of being one of his teammates with the Greyhounds....he was also a very good...

Ed graced our family with two blessed grandchildren, Tazdyn and the little princess Jazlyn. Whenever we look into their eyes we will see the smile of our dear son-in-law and remember the joy he brought to us all. Ed was beyond a son he was also a friend and we will remember his love of life and caring spirit. His devotion to family and his craft makes him special to all he touched.

My heartfelt condolences go out to your family and to all of us that knew and remember Ed. At every gathering of our class, he is remembered with warm thoughts. He was quite a good athlete and he always had my respect. And what more can you say about that winning smile! God Bless You Ed.

Deepest sympathies to the family.

It was with deep regret that I read Ed's obituary. I remember Ed's contagious smile, great sense of humor and his positive outlook. He was a great team mate on the football field and track. We missed Ed at recent class reunions. There is a photo on page 14 of the 1976 Ocean Springs High School Year Book of about a dozen young adults standing in a line to get their class schedules. Ed is the tall lanky guy with the big smile on his face. We will remember that smile.

Although we lost touch after high school we are forever bonded as Greyhounds. Peace my friend and classmate.
