Thank you all so much for your wonderful thoughts about my dad. He was an inspiration to me both as a judge and as a person. They didn't call him "Honest Ed" for nothing.

When I think of Edwin Shapiro, retired Justice in Ossining Town Court, these traits immediately come to mind -- honesty, fairness, intelligence, wisdom and wit. Edwin cared about people, and especially his family. Without a doubt, the BEST Judge I've had the pleasure to listen to while a spectator in ANY courtroom I've ever sat in. I have a multitude of beautiful memories.

Ed was a wonderful man who always had time to share a story and always made you feel happy you ran into him. I will miss him and was proud to call him my friend.
