Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. I had the privilege of knowing the" Doctor " for many years while working at Hamilton Station. Our conversations were always memorable and informative! Above all Ed's concern and compassion for his family and fellow troopers was evident. God bless the Vanhandel family! Godspeed Ed, may you rest in peace my friend. MP-3993

Ed was a great guy and I really enjoyed having long discussions on history and life whenever he would come over to baker's. one of the nicest guys I ever had the pleasure of getting to know

My sincere condolences to the VanHandel family
I'm gonna miss you terribly buddy,my partner in crime for stoneybrook. Til we meet again my friend save me a seat at the big table

The Doctor. The perfect gentleman who was the most caring, selfless, generous, humble, & loving man you could ever know. You've enriched our lives and made us all better people. I am blessed to have known you and will never forget you, brother.

Prost!

My sincere condolences to the VanHandle family. I'm presently out of the country and was stunned to read of Ed's passing. I worked with Ed many years ago when he was starting his career as a road Trooper. New Jersey has lost a good man and the State Police has lost an Outstanding Trooper. Regards, Greg Seitz #2461

Condolences to the VanHandel family.

RIP #3225. It was great meeting up with you at the NTC picnics. You will be missed.

Godspeed and rest easy classmate. It sure was a shock to learn of Ed's passing. Even though Ed was in Troop C and I was in Troop A, we occasionally crossed paths during our careers and shared a humorous story or two. Ed's viewing is on the date we graduated from the academy 39 years ago.

A good friend who will be missed by all. Always spoke of his girls and the farm. God's speed, Ed.
