Not sure what to say?

I did not know Father Vigil other than the nice stories Isaac, his brother, spoke of him. I wanted to meet him in person the next time I traveled to San Antonio if I had the chance. I'm so so sorry to hear about this tragic loss to this family and this community. Isaac if you read this we at KIN-TEK just found out about this tragedy and are sorry we were not able to learn about it sooner. We would surely had come to the funeral for support. We miss you very much and you and your family...

I know God holds you in His loving arms because He knows what a beautiful soul you are and that you served as such a beautiful example of His love while among us. I know that Father Ed's family is even more aware of the goodness and beauty in his soul because they knew it so closely. I so hope that to remember this comforts them at this most difficult time and always. Only God knows why Father Ed was only alowed such a short time to serve among us. May he live on in the inspiration he gave to...

Rest in peace, may He give peace and strenght to the family in this most difficult time.

To Fr. Edwin's family and friends,
The last occasion I spent time with Fr. Edwin was last April when we were seated together at a Catholic Charities banquet. He was eagerly anticipating his new assignment to St. John the Evangelist.
May he continue to inspire us from heaven, and may God comfort you in this sudden loss.

Edwin, you were truly an inspiration to everyone you met. I remember when I first met you at Oblate School of Theology, your smile could light up a room. I remember our long talks and how you would always pay close attention to what I would say. May you now rest in peace. You are an angel watching down on us all. You will be missed!

As the Rector's secretary at St. John's Seminary College in California, I was priviledged to see the growth of this wonderful man. His smile will always remain in my memories and his faith a blessing to all who knew him. My sincere condolences to the family. Susie Johnson
