I was deeply saddened to hear of Mr. Waligora´s passing. I first met him in sixth grade, when I was a struggling drummer who had lost confidence. I had always loved the tenor sound, and Mr. Waligora´s beautiful trombone tone drew me in. From the very beginning, he patiently taught me how to create that sound myself. His guidance not only gave me a new instrument, but also launched me on the path to becoming a trombonist. As his career progressed I was fortunate to remain under his guidance...

I have a poster that reads”In a world where you can be anything.BE KIND!” That’s how Ed Waligora lived his life. Ed and Sue lived their lives in service to others. Ed had a gift of cultivating and motivating others to cultivate their talents. Let us carry on Ed’s legacy of goodness. Doerle Rowley

I am in Mesa, AZ so will be unable to attend Ed's Memorial but want to express my sincere sympathy to Sue and her family. I taught with Ed at Grant Wood and he was an understanding educator and a very nice man. He cared for the people with whom he worked and for the students he taught. His love for music and his musical talent was an inspiration to all.

Sue and family, So sorry to hear of Ed´s passing. He was a good man. I knew him through Church, school and bowling. He loved you so much and his family. My deepest sympathy to you all. May he rest peacefully in Heaven with our Lord. Hugs.
