I feel that knowing Mr. Wilson was a blessing in my life. He was retiring as I was entering education in Wythe County in 1988, but he continued to stop by the school with his creations, honey, and wisdom. My daughter is 20 yrs. old and still has a wooden frog pull toy that he made for her. My thoughts and prayers are with the family as I know how much you will miss him - we all will.

Hazel and family:
Our prayers are with you during this time. Mr. Wilson as I will always refer to him was not only a wonderful neighbor but a great principal. Not many students want a principal as their neighbor but I can say that we didn't mind at all.
I will always remember him as my savior from not making me eat "fried bananas" in Home-Ec. His patience was a real blessing.
May God Bless,
Vickie

Mr Wilson was an inspiration to me as he served his church and community in his quiet, unassuming way. Never pushy or loud, his level headed assetments were always invaluable.
I know we will all surely miss him.
