Not sure what to say?

To Ed's family,
When I was a young boy learning to play golf at Pasfield golf course I met Ed. We made a lasting friendship to date. He taught me the etiquette of golf...and how to enjoy the game! I have clear memories of meeting him early in the morning during the summer to play 9-holes. Ed and Marie took me under their wing...having me over for meals, summer conversations at dusk in their driveway shade, meeting LPGA pros they would host, and making Peanut-butter balls and Pazelli's at...

Carol--My name is Gale Jones Fixmer. My uncle was Payne Gale and he and your dad were such good friends when I was growing up. Uncle Payne and your dad spent many hours together and as a little girl, they loved to tease me. I belonged to Douglas Avenue, as did my folks, but I moved away after I was married. We retired back to Springfield and attend Westminster Presbyterian Church now. I will send the obituary notice to my aunt--Ina Gale who lives in the Chicago area. Your dad was a...

I'm so sorry that I missed out on so many years with you Granpa....Annie

Carol,
When I heard the news of your father’s passing, my mind flashed back to all of the wonderful times I spent with you and your parents. Your dad was special… I will always remember him for his humor and compassion.
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

To the family of Ed Wolf,
I was principal at Black Hawk when he began volunteering there. He worked with 1st graders, and they called him Mr. Ed. He was loved by both children and teachers alike.

He had a great sense of humor, and he was fun to be around. Later, he began volunteering at Wanless, where I had been transferred as principal.

He was so kind! Occasionally, he would take me, and teachers Lynn Wagy and Barb Farris to breakfast because we remained...

I met Ed at Pasfield Golf Course. He by himself and me by myself. I would play golf with him and never knew that at that time he was in his eighty's. Wow! I will miss that laugh and will remember the many rounds of golf. I continued to see Ed once in awhile at Mel-o-Cream when I took my daughters, now 12 and 13 for doughnuts. I knew he wasn't playing golf anymore and volunteering at 186 schools. I just wanted to know that his good heart touched mine and I am...

my name is Lori Hardy and I was lucky enough to know Ed through Molly Maid and we thought he was such a kind man with a smile that made you feel welcome in his home. I no longer work for Molly Maid but think of the customers I had and Ed was one I always enjoyed helping out. He will be missed. My prayers are with the family. God bless Ed:)

To the family of Ed Wolf,
I have lived across the street from Mr. Wolf most of my life. He was retired when I was born and now he has seen me raise my children. I will miss all those daily waves in the morning, afternoon, and evening when he would be out on the front porch reading the paper and listening to his radio. He was a very kind man and God will be accepting Mr.. Wolf with a smile and possibly a Mel o Cream donut.
Even though he will no longer be with us on earth, we will...

So sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad. My parents are both gone, plus two of my brothers, Ed and Gary. I have fond memories of us playing together as kids.
