Not sure what to say?

Much to my distress, I was told of
Edythe's passing yesterday at a local
supermarket. I have had the pleasure of knowing Edythe over the
last several years while we both walked continuously around the Melrose High School track. She was
an inspiration to me not only because of her commitment to staying physically fit but because of her beautiful soul and spirit that she
showed to us through her ever present smile and eagerness to listen to how other people's lives were going. ...

Edythe and Harry were wonderful friends to my parents, Ken and Rosalie Gopen, for over three decades. For Edythe and Mom, their relationship transcended friendship. Mom was a professional singer, and Edythe was her accompanist. They spent many hours together rehearsing and performing at fund raisers, religious activities, weddings, and many other events. Edythe’s skills as an accompanist were extraordinary. Not only was she a fluent sight-reader and transposer, but even with singers with whom...

To all of Edythe's family--
Our heartfelt condolences--Edythe was truly one of a kind. She was the very meaning of grace. elegance and friendship. I will always treasure my memories of her from the Malden Hospital Gift Shop to Belleveue Golf club. We always felt that she was timeless and can't really believe that's she's gone. Prayers and thoughts are with her family at this difficult time. Wth much love and admiration for Edythe--A TRUE LADY--We will miss her.

Caysie & Mary...

I used to caddie for Edythe and her husband at Kernwood CC in Salem a long time ago. Since then I met her several times when I played Bellview with my friend Frank Romano. Edythe was a wonderful, positive and refreshing person. She made us all happier just seeing and talking to her. I have happy memories as a young child caddying for her. Edythe was a very exceptional person and I offer my condolances to her family and her friends.

Edythe was so friendly and welcoming when I joined TTI. We bonded over her maiden name and mine being the same and her love of music and dance. My daughter and I were so pleased to have her come to a winter dance recital of Sarah's. We will miss her and her generous spirit.

How truly blessed I consider myself to have known Edythe, someone I have considered one of the most incredible people I've ever known since I met her 13 years ago. I recall the many discussions we've had over the years about music, and about Stephanie, who I had the pleasure of working with at Shawmut Bank.

As her life was a blessing and inspiration, may her spirit continue to inspire and bless.
